About Me

Hi! My name is Tammy Simpson and I am one of the Learning Specialists at Gold Rush Elementary. In my 16th year of teaching Special Education, I am very honored to be working with such a dynamic Special Education team, not to mention the students. The students are the ones who continue to teach, motivate and inspire me to do my best. Originally from California, seven years ago I moved to Castle Rock with my wonderful husband, Michael, and two sons, Joey and Erik. I am very fortunate to have both Joey and Erik attending GRE with me. While in California, I completed my B.A. in Communicative Disorders at San Diego State University and my M.S. in Special Education at National University. During my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, cooking and, most importantly, spending time with my family. I am looking forward to a very exciting year at GRE. Go Golden Retrievers!!!!
